The Zoomuse online reading series initiated by Subud poet Emmanuel Williams has evolved into the Zoomuse Poems for Peace, to continue a project launched by Latifah Taormina:
SICA launched Poems for Peace® in Austin, Texas in 2012 in partnership with a global coalition of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working with UK’s nonprofit, Peace One Day to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Peace via as a day of shared community action. What difference could we make by our efforts? “Institutionalizing a day of peace is just a process,” says Peace One Day’s founder, Jeremy Gilley. “The real success of Peace Day comes down to individuals getting involved and taking ownership of the day.”
The series happens on the third Thursday of each month via Zoom:
