November 30, 2021Dear Family and Friends,Sara sings this coming weekend in Baltimore and in Washington, D.C., in case you have any friends or relatives who might enjoy hearing her. INSeries Opera (inseries.org) is doing a live repeat of a piece they put on line last March, Purcell’s A Fairy Queen.They will be singing in Baltimore , the Baltimore Theatre Project on December 3 at 7:30 p.m. and in Washington, D.C. at the Atlas Performing Arts Center on December 4 at 7:30 p.m. and on December 5 at 2:30 p.m.
Next up for Sara is singing with the Cantata Collective in Berkeley on January 2. In their press, Cantata Collective refers to Sara as “the stunning contralto.” I can’t wait!
Right after that, Sara leaves for Florida, to prepare for the Juno/Ino parts in Handel’s Semele, which she will sing from February 4-8, 2022. And then, immediately into the Music from Marlboro tour of four cities on the East Coast – Brattleboro, Vermont (2/12), Greenwich, CT (2/13), Philadelphia (2/16), New York (2/28), and Cambridge, Mass. (2/20).
She will then cover a part in the Met’s Elektra in March and April, and then return to the Bay Area to sing the part of the Nurse in West Edge Opera’s Ariane et Barbe-Bleue and the title role in Pocket Opera’s The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein June 12 (Hillside Club, Berkeley), 19 (Mountain View), and 26 (Legion of Honor).
