Latifah Taormina of SICA-International has received word of a donation to SICA to honor the memory of Victor Margolin, the long-time Subud member, one of the main people responsible for the creation of SICA, and who died November 27, 2019. From the SICA International site:
A full and historically accurate report by Victor Margolin of the inspiration for the working party as well as its results that were presented to Bapak is attached — and it’s a very good read! Click here to download that report.
She has suggested, and SICA-USA Chair Hamilton Cheifetz has agreed, that anyone who wants to make a donation to SICA to honor the memory of Victor Margolin may do so and proceeds will be split evenly between the two organizations, SICA-USA and SICA-International. In discussing SICA, Victor’s widow Shoshannah Margolin suggested that a donation in Victor’s name to SICA would be a wonderful gesture. She appreciated how SICA has given small grants to artists and organizations in need of funding and agreed that Victor’s establishing documents for SICA and his notion of the “Conversation Cafe” project, which debuted at the 2014 Subud World Congress in Puebla, Mexico, were important parts of his legacy.

Thanks for considering making a donation to SICA-International and SICA-USA. Please note that it is to honor the memory of our Dear Subud Brother Victor Margolin, Rest In Power.
Dear All,
I applaud this effort to contribute to SICA in Victors name. I was not
surprised to hear that he was the first champion of SICA just before the
Anugraha World Congress which I attended. Once SICA was founded
I can remember many meetings with him and others making the first
steps to organizing it with Latifah leading the way.
I also hope that SICA will consider creating a “SICA Endowment” with
the Muhammad Subuh Foundation MSF, where large bequests could be placed
for the long term development of SICA. I for one would be first to add it to my will.
MSF does require a first time $200,000 startup to such an Endowment. A possibility could be that donations to this could begin a fund to reach this goal?
With extreme gratitude for all Victor did for SICA and in his extraordinary life…
