Zoomuse Poems for Peace LogoAnn Graham Walker is the next Zoomuse Poems for Peace featured reader on Thursday, May 19 at 11am PDT/ 2pm EDT. This is a YouTube video of Magdalena Zurawski and David Dephy’s SICA ZoomMuse Poems for Peace poetry reading held on 21 April, 2022. This event is part of a monthly series of ZoomMuse Poems for Peace poetry readings, co-sponsored by SICA USA and SICA Canada.

ABOUT DAVID DEPHY
David Dephy  is a Georgian/American award-winning poet and novelist, the founder of Poetry Orchestra, 1st place winner of The Artist Forum Poetry Award in New York 2021, winner of the Finalist Award in the 2020 Best Book Award National Contest by American Book Fest, finalist and shortlist winner nominee of the Adelaide Literary Awards for the category of Best Poem, and winner of the Spillwords Poetry Award.

David is called “a Literature Luminary” by Bowery Poetry, “a Stellar Poet” by Voices of Poetry, “an Incomparable Poet” by Statorec, “the Brilliant Grace” by Headline Poetry & Press and “an Extremely Unique Poetic Voice” by Cultural Daily.

ABOUT MAGDALENA ZURAWSKI
Magdalena Zurawski’s most recent poetry collection is  “The Tiniest Muzzle Sings Songs of Freedom” (Wave Books 2019). Ugly Duckling Presse published her essay “Being Human is an Occult Practice” as part of its pamphlet series in 2020. Her chapbook “Don’t Be Scared” appeared from The Operating System in Summer 2019.

Zurawski is also the author of the novel “The Bruise”, which won the Ronald Sukenick Award from FC2 in 2008 and a LAMBDA literary award in 2009. Her, collection of poems “Companion Animal”  was published by Litmus Press in 2015 and won a Norma Faber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America.

She teaches at the University of Georgia. During the 2022-23 school year she will be researching a new writing project as a Fulbright Fellow in Poland.
