The Myco Files (TMF) is a mycology news show in a world where the field of mycology is vast, and ever expanding. Hamilton Pevec hosts TMF as a mushroom geek with a satirical edge. He reports on the latest science, old science and addresses debates within the mycology community, like “to cut or pluck?” and “mycelium versus fruit body extracts.” Hamilton appeals to both the old school mycologist and the present shroom boom’s myco-curious. TMF strikes the difficult balance between funny and informative.   Even now as he writes in the third person, to make it feel like someone, more than him, cares about his little news show.
