Susannah Rosenthal came to Subud when her cousin met a man who thought he was Lewis Carroll reincarnated.  Opened in 1967 at Miriam Ralph’s farm in New Hope Pennsylvania, she attended latihans in NYC and Brooklyn while she worked as a designer of exhibitions and products at Hallmark Gallery on 5th Avenue. After a psychic told her she would have a new job, she was hired by Mattel and moved to Manhattan Beach,

CA. “Greatest job in the world”, “best education possible” “Mattel was key to my life’s mission” is how Susannah explains her 18 years growing into the position of Vice President of New Business Concepts, the Blue Sky department and incubator of break-thru new toys and entertainment tech.  Susannah hired the most talented designers who became toy superstars like Caleb Chung, Panna Hess, talented freelancers like Alexis Arquette, Luqman McKingley, Harris Madden, Sharifa Benepe, Summer Interns under Emmanuel Williams, Farah Karapedian, Gregor and Balduin Hesse, Hadrian BeLove, Brigette and Isadora Roth and Rohanna Clark, executive secretary, as well as many non-Subud toy designers.
