Four Sarabandes by Bach, recorded May 31, 2021 at Portland State University.  The Sarabandes are the spiritual centerpieces of the Bach Cello Suites, and they are all profoundly beautiful creations.  The range of expression and contrast in character among the Sarabandes is reflective of the astounding variety found among the Suites themselves.  On this video, I perform the Sarabandes in D minor, G Major, C minor and C Major.  Posted with gratitude for Bach, for the cello and for the privilege of being permitted to be “inside” these wonderful works.
